Qualifications

• Administrative experience and evidence of interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
• History of academic leadership and nationally recognized reputation in general surgery.
• Possession of, or eligibility for, an unrestricted medical license in Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the division by establishing annual academic priorities and mentoring faculty.
• Oversee research initiatives and manage a large operating budget and discretionary funds.
• Foster collaboration with the Department of Surgery, IU Health Medical Group, affiliated hospitals, and partner physician organizations.
