D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division CFO for the Ocala Division to establish internal controls around sales, purchasing, construction, land development, AP, job starts, and closing processes.

This role will review compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and oversee the division's financial reporting. The successful candidate will provide the five-year business plan, manage the division’s financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and lead a team through strategic initiatives while

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent required.
• 7–10 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate financial information and five-year business plan to the Division President and Region/Corporate.
• Oversee all aspects of the division’s homebuilding operations and interact with all departments to ensure efficient policies.
• Ensure that personnel are trained and understand the JD Edwards system.
• Maintain proper internal controls and procedures.
• Ensure monthly close and financial statements reflect division operations.
• Evaluate potential land deals to meet corporate and division requirements.
• Monitor budgets and justify changes with backup data.
• Conduct business ethically to enhance goodwill and profitability.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Communicate company philosophy and control spending to avoid unnecessary costs.
• Analyze, improve, and implement new policies and procedures with technology enhancements.

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division CFO. The right candidate will establish internal controls surrounding the sales, purchasing, construction, land development, AP, job starts, and closing process. Review for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain ultimate responsibility for providing timely and accurate financial information as well as the five-year business plan to the Division President and Region/Corporate, and for ensuring that corporate policies and procedures, as defined in corporate operations manual, are carried out
• Oversee all aspects of the division’s homebuilding operations, with the authority to interact with all departments and to determine if current department policies are efficient and promote the greater well‑being of the division
• Ensure that all appropriate division personnel are adequately trained and understand how to utilize the JD Edwards system
• Ensure that efficient policies and procedures and the proper internal controls are in place
• Ensure the accuracy of the division’s financial reporting processes, namely that the division’s books are prepared and close within the monthly guidelines established by the corporate office, and that the financial statements accurately reflect the division’s operations
• Ensure that all potential land deals meet corporate, regional, and division requirements
• Monitor development and S&B budgets to make sure there is adequate backup to support these amounts and to investigate subsequent changes
• Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
• Able to travel overnight
• Ensure that all personnel understand company philosophy and do not spend money unnecessarily
• Analyze, improve, and implement new policies and procedures that keep up with technology enhancements and more efficient operations

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent
• Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training
• Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the home building industry preferred
