SOM-Medicine-DBA is seeking a Division Business Administrator at the Main Campus Jackson to lead the business and administrative operations for one or more divisions within a clinical academic department. Responsibilities include budgeting, education programs, research grants and contracts, and personnel oversight.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the division chief, capital equipment planning, and long-term strategy to optimize resources and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of business/financial management or health care administration experience.
• Certifications or Licenses not required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages the daily business and administrative operations in an assigned area.
• Implements organizational policies and procedures to achieve departmental goals.
• Supervises employees including work allocation, training, scheduling, evaluation, and problem resolution.
• Reviews and interprets policies and procedures and recommends changes.
• Prepares operation and statistical reports and maintains records and inventory.
• Collaborates with staff to improve cost containment, productivity, and demand management.
• Acts as liaison between management and other divisions, schools and departments.
