Job summary

United Contractor Services in Kennesaw, GA is seeking an estimator to join our preconstruction group. You will own Division 8 and 10 scopes from initial look through bid award, with Division 8 doors and hardware as the core focus and hardware sets written/reviewed against drawings and specs.

You’ll perform quantity takeoffs, compare vendor pricing, identify value-engineering options, and assemble clear proposals for review by Project Managers, building strong supplier relationships and staying

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating commercial Division 8 and/or Division 10 scopes, with priority on Division 8.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and door schedules.
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software.
• Clear communicator in bid environments with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for bids.
• Solicit and compare vendor and manufacturer pricing.
• Identify value-engineering options with real numbers.
• Assemble proposals with scope language and exclusions.
• Turn over awarded scopes to Project Managers with pricing basis documented.
• Build relationships with suppliers and reps.
• Stay current on product changes and code revisions.
