United Contractor Services in Kennesaw, GA is seeking an experienced estimator to own Division 8 and 10 scopes from first look through bid award. You will price doors, hardware, partitions, and related items, ensuring accuracy against drawings, specs, and UL/life-safety requirements.
In this role you will perform quantity takeoffs, compare vendor pricing, and present value-engineering options with clear documentation.
United Contractor Services is a national specialty subcontractor working in commercial light gauge interior buildouts and Division 8 & 10 Specialties. General contractors and architects bring us onto complex, large-scale work because we deliver what we price, when we said we would.
We're adding an estimator to our preconstruction group to own Division 8 and 10 scopes from first look through bid award. Division 8 is the heart of this job - doors, frames, and finish hardware - and, as needed, you'll be the one writing and reviewing hardware sets, not handing that off to someone else after award. Division 10 scopes come with the territory, and you'll need to price them accurately, but the door work is where you'll spend most of your time.
This is a numbers-and-details job. You'll live in schedules, specs, and hardware sets, and you'll be the person who catches the frame that doesn't match its rating before it costs us money on the jobsite.
Division 8 and 10 estimating drives a meaningful share of the work we chase nationally. The pricing you produce determines what we pursue and what we win, and you'll have direct visibility with the people making those calls. We offer competitive pay, a full benefits package, and a clear path forward for people who are good at this work.
This position is based out of our Kennesaw, GA office.
United Contractor Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
