Job summary

Judson Independent School District is seeking a Special Populations Tutor to support at-risk students district-wide in Live Oak, Texas. This part-time, temporary position offers tutoring sessions during the school day with potential before/after-school hours, up to 20 hours per week, at $15 per hour for college students or $25 per hour for certified staff.

Responsibilities

• Attend training/meeting at the JISD location
• Facilitate tutorial sessions in English Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science or Social Studies
• Manage learning materials and assist in student materials for lessons
• Relate positively to students and develop mutually respectful relationships
• Maintain confidentiality of students and achievement
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process where available
• Assess student progress and communicate with the principal or designee regarding progress
• Review student data and plan with teacher of record
• Become familiar with campus curriculum and instructional materials
• Set high expectations and model personal excellence for students
