Job summary

Everett Public Schools is hiring a District-Wide Paraprofessional to support students with developmental needs in the district. The role provides individualized assistance to help students access the curriculum, develop independence, and participate safely in school activities.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; responsibilities include implementing IEP/504 accommodations, supporting teachers, and maintaining documentation. High school diploma or higher and urban-district experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or higher required.
• Will be working with diverse student population in an urban district.
• Experience in an urban district is preferred.

Responsibilities

• General support of a classroom or classrooms.
• Provide academic support and carry over of the lessons the teacher has developed.
• Implement accommodations outlined in a student’s IEP/504.
• Support students in accessing technology and classroom materials.
• Assist with data collection and documentation related to incidents and performance.
• Foster positive relationships and help students stay organized.
