Job summary

Worthington School District 518 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist students with activities of daily living, health-related functions, and behavior support under the direction of licensed staff and building administration. The role involves supporting teachers with individual students or small groups and implementing assigned IEP plans.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and may need to complete the ParaEducator Assessment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED and/or College Degree. Or must be able to pass the ParaEducator Assessment upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more students with activities of daily living, instrumental daily living tasks, health-related functions, behavior redirection and intervention as identified in each student’s IEP.
• Support teachers by working with individual students or small groups under supervision of the Teacher and building Principal.
