Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a District Transportation Manager to lead private fleet and carrier operations across multiple locations in California. You will manage a ~$7 million P&L, optimize routes, and ensure on-time delivery while driving cost efficiencies.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics, strong SAP/SAP TM proficiency, DOT knowledge, and the ability to influence across regions. Travel about 75% is expected; multiple Fresno-area work locations are listed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree/MBA strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of logistics/supply-chain experience.
• Experience with HAZMAT and tanker operations desired.
• Multi-modal transportation experience incl TL/LTL and regulatory issues.
• Budgeting / P&L experience.
• Strong SAP/SAPTM knowledge and DOT compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage private fleet dispatch and route optimization across multiple locations.
• Develop lane strategies and negotiate truckload rates with carriers.
• Coordinate capacity planning and ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide guidance on asset utilization and capital replacement.
• Own transportation budget and drive cost savings against the annual plan.
