Job summary

Anamosa Community School District in Anamosa, IA seeks a visionary Superintendent who will lead the administrative, instructional, and support services teams toward excellence in student education. The role requires extensive experience in teaching and school administration, along with advanced degrees in education administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in School Administration.
• Masters plus 30 credit hours or Doctoral Degree preferred.
• Extensive successful teaching experience, preferably in more than one grade level.
• Extensive successful administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the district’s administration and instructional services in alignment with Board policies and applicable law.
• Advise the Board on policies and the need for new or revised policies and ensure they are implemented.
• Prepare recommendations for the Board and present necessary information for informed decisions.
• Oversee district facilities, resources, and budget in accordance with policies and laws.
• Represent the district in dealings with other school systems and community organizations.
• Establish public relations programs to keep the community informed about district activities.
