Job summary

Arbon Equipment Corporation in Windsor, CT, seeks a District Service Manager to lead the service department across multiple zones. You will build and maintain a skilled team, drive profitability, and ensure up-to-date technical knowledge on products and industry trends.

You will forecast staffing needs, hire technicians, supervise safety programs, and coordinate with installation and subcontractors to support service operations. Strong leadership and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background in construction management preferred.
• An in depth knowledge of Rite-Hite products is required.
• Must be able to read and understand all documents pertaining to project planning.
• CAD proficiency helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a staffed, trained service team that works safely and efficiently.
• Ensure customer expectations are exceeded in the maintenance, repair, and service of equipment.
• Exceed budgeted targets for profitability.
• Forecast personnel needs to assure sufficient staff is available to meet demand while keeping overtime costs within acceptable parameters, and screening and hiring new Service Technicians.
• Ensure all Technicians are trained, including initial and ongoing training, and progress in Training Standards and development levels.
• Manage safety of all Technicians including training, equipment, audits, and compliance with regulations.
• Enforce company policies and performance standards and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop Technician Team Leaders and coordinate with Installation and other departments to maximize synergies.
