Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring immediately for a diesel mechanic with 1–3 years of experience in construction equipment or equipment rental. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair to meet manufacturer specifications.

You will work with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems, using your tool set and diagnostic skills to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. The position offers a Monday–Friday, 40‑hour schedule with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic in construction equipment or rental background.
• Intermediate experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment.
• Must have the basic tool set needed to perform equipment repairs.
• Eager to learn and grow; open to training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques.
• Attention to detail inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment to meet manufacturer specs.
• Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Safety oriented, maintaining Sunstate safety standards during repairs.
• Be willing and ready to learn; this position offers training and career growth opportunities.

Pay Range: $23.75-29.70+/HR (Dependent upon Experience) + Quarterly Branch Performance Bonus Potential
