Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. seeks a field‑based coaching and development leader to elevate technician performance across our service network. You will mentor technicians during live repairs, reinforce diagnostic processes, and champion safety and quality on every job.

You will partner with branch leadership to align technician development with operational goals such as first‑time‑fix rate and efficiency, while maintaining a strong field presence and traveling between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management level experience in shop and service management, within the construction equipment rental industry is preferred.
• Extensive experience as a senior-level technician with advanced troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Proven ability to coach and develop technicians in field or shop environments
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment systems, repair practices, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and translate complex issues into practical guidance
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
• Ability to work independently in field environments with frequent travel between locations
