Description

Summary/objective:

A leading manufacturer of firefighting, agricultural, and industrial hose, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Sales Manager to join our team. As a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing sales activities and developing new business opportunities within your assigned territory. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional with a strong background in sales and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential functions

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Distributer Sales Representative to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans within the assigned territory to expand market presence, increase sales and gain product placement within key dealers and fire departments.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and provide competitive intelligence to the Snap-tite management team to further increase the company’s market share.
  • Understand customers’ needs and provide solutions that exceed expectations while building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and decision makers within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue any new and existing business opportunities within the district to expand the customer base while aligning with Snap-tite’s growth strategy.
  • Provide training, coaching and support to the distributor sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Train customers such as fire departments, local training academies, etc. throughout the assigned territory on our product and its effective use.
  • Provide data entry of new and existing customers information, product orders, contract dates, path of purchase, etc. into ShareCRM.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecast and reports while analyzing the sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attend national and regional trade shows to support the promotion of the company brand and products.
  • Work closely with other departments such as marketing, production, and customer service to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the sales budget for assigned territory to ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Proven track record in motivating and inspiring direct reports to meet company sales goals and initiatives.
  • Results driven individual with a track record of achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Excellent phone etiquette including conversations with new and prospective customers.
  • Travel to trade shows and exhibitions as directed.
  • Will be expected to travel frequently for customer and company meetings.

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience preferably in manufacturing.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in outside sales required.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license with no major driving violations.

Preferred education and experience

  • Previous working knowledge of ShareCRM
  • Previous experience in contract negotiations
