Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Safety Officer to support security functions district-wide. You will patrol facilities, monitor cameras, and assist in emergency responses to incidents. You may also document bus accidents, review routes, and advise on safer bus stop locations.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in security/public safety, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to work after hours or on weekends as needed. Non-exempt, paid with benefits.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or TxCHSE required.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Clear and valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Insurable by the District's insurance carrier required.
• 3-5 years in security, public safety, or law enforcement required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and perform security checks during and after school hours.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and access control points.
• Direct and monitor visitors entering District facilities.
• Document bus accidents and submit reports.
• Investigate complaints of hazardous walking routes to schools and bus stops.
• Evaluate safety of bus stop locations and recommend alternatives.
• Evaluate safe driving conditions for bus routes in inclement weather.
• Support 24-hour Security Desk functions including dispatching emergency services.
• Patrol areas around campuses and bus stops to enhance safety.
• Be prepared to work after hours or weekends for emergencies.
