Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensed State of Texas Security Officer, or the ability to obtain.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior in all areas of the school and enforce safety rules.
• Exercise good judgment in assessing student behavior and handling disciplinary problems.
• Check areas for unauthorized personnel or movement of students.
• Prevent vandalism and theft of school property and disruptions caused by conflicts.
• Report criminal violations to the district Police Department.
• Report school policy violations to school administrators.
• Respond to and assist in resolving conflicts and confrontations.
• Assist in evacuating students during emergencies.
• Submit oral and written reports to the school administration and district Police Department.
• Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
• Work overtime assignments as assigned and on any shift.
• Work on any campus or district facility as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
