Marion County Public Schools seeks a Coordinator I – Risk Management to support safety training and investigations for employees and students. The role focuses on loss prevention, incident reporting, and implementing safety programs across the district.

Responsibilities include coordinating safety initiatives, serving as a resources for staff, and maintaining safety manuals and response plans while ensuring compliance and timely action in all safety matters.

Competenze

• Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Experience: Minimum three years of verifiable experience in loss prevention, occupational health, and safety programs.
• Computer Skills: Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology; experience in data entry and Microsoft Suite.
• Certificates and/or Licenses: Valid Florida driver’s license; ability to drive; Florida All Lines Adjuster License or ability to obtain one after employment.

• Coordinate, provide, and evaluate safety training and initiatives for designated employees.
• Serve as a resource to school and department staff on safety matters to assist with problem solving.
• Communicate with leadership to ensure compliance with safety initiatives and timely reporting of infractions.
• Establish and evaluate loss prevention and safety programs.
• Provide support to Site Safety Committees to ensure compliance and accident prevention.
• Investigate, report, and monitor accident/incident claims for resolution including school buses and third-party claims.
• Investigate claim exposures to determine liability and fiscal impact to the District.
• Serve as liaison to Third-Party Administrator for timely payments and file closures.
• Maintain and update District Fuel Spill Response Plan and Safety/Loss Prevention Program manual.
• Assist in monitoring playground risk exposures and claim management.
