Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking a Construction Technician to support the St. Louis District Office. You will perform basic tests (air, slump, moisture, density) and report results to your supervisor while assisting with plans and estimates.

You will maintain records and enter data into computer systems as part of a safety-conscious team. Requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA 10 within 90 days, and completion of a work simulation and medical-physical exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.
• Basic math skills appropriate to high school algebra required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic construction tests such as air, slump, moisture, and density; reports results.
• Assists in preparing final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates.
• Inspects plants and paving operations; maintains records and prepares reports.
• Enters project information into computer programs and keeps supervisor informed.
