MoDOT seeks a Construction Technician to provide semi-skilled technical support for engineering projects at the Clinton, MO office. Responsibilities include basic construction testing, measurements for plans and payments, and inspections with documentation kept up to date.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA 10 within 90 days, and successful completion of a work simulation and medical-physical exam. The position offers a strong benefits package and a total compensation focus.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification required within 90 days.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsabilidades

• Perform basic construction tests such as air, slump, moisture, compaction, aggregate gradation, and density; report results to supervisor.
• Perform measurements, computations, or other work in preparing final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates.
• Assist in inspection of bituminous and portland cement concrete plants and/or grading, base, bituminous or concrete paving.
• Maintain records and prepare reports pertaining to inspections; keep supervisor informed of activities or unusual conditions; ensure projects meet department standards.
• Enter and record information regarding construction projects into computer programs.
