The position requires strong public speaking, strategic planning, and the ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet objectives and support Scouting in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• People-oriented and able to work with volunteers and community leaders.
• Must register as a member of Scouting America and pass a criminal background check.
• Able to work varied hours, evening activities, overnight events, and weekend work when required.
• A Scouting background is helpful but not required for employment.

Responsabilités

• Lead the War Eagle District with a volunteer board to grow Scouting.
• Develop long-range strategies to advance the district's mission.
• Drive membership recruitment/retention and new unit development through collaboration.
• Represent the council as chief district spokesman.
• Provide timely communication, regular meetings, training events, and activities.
• Commit to irregular hours to meet council and district objectives.
