Job summary

The Flint River Council in the south metro Atlanta area is seeking a District Executive to grow Scouting by recruiting volunteers, expanding membership, and delivering high-impact programs. You will work with a volunteer board to achieve district objectives and collaborate with the council staff to optimize operations and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (transcript with the date degree conferred stated is required).
• Strong background in marketing, fundraising, and program development is highly desired.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work with a volunteer board of directors and community leaders to recruit and inspire involvement in youth programs.
• Achieve goals through program development, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and membership efforts.
• Extend programs to religious, civic, and community organizations via volunteers.
• Secure financial support and achieve income and participation targets for activities.
• Recruit leadership for fundraising campaigns to meet financial needs.
• Ensure program sites are staffed by volunteers with regular meetings and training.
• Collaborate with volunteers to oversee training and role achievement.
