Job summary

CVS Health in Florida is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to support pharmacies across the district. You will dispense medications, counsel patients, immunize when permissible, and ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.

You may travel to fill shifts as scheduled, acting as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager on duty and guiding the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional patient care. Strong compliance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and improve patient health through dispensing, counseling, and immunizing.
• Travel within a reasonable radius to fill pharmacist shifts.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and ensure safety/accuracy in prescription fulfillment.
• Serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when on duty and provide leadership to the team.
• Coach staff to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance/medication issues.
• Proactively offer and administer immunizations; support inventory management and cold chain protection.
• Maintain compliance with laws, CVS policies, and patient privacy requirements.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment.
