Job summary

CVS Health District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in ensuring pharmacy teams deliver safe and compassionate care across stores within the district. You will cover pharmacist shifts, support the pharmacy manager, and help improve patient experiences while maintaining compliance with laws and CVS policies.

Responsibilities include immunizations, inventory oversight, and providing patient-centered clinical care while traveling across stores to support staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; oversee the pharmacy and serve as proxy for the Pharmacy Manager.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Manage pharmacy operations and patient care during bench shifts and when acting as primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Deliver immunizations and coach technicians to immunize.
• Assist in inventory management with focus on cold chain integrity.
