Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to travel within a district, cover pharmacist shifts, and support pharmacy teams. The DSP will ensure safe dispensing, patient counseling, and immunization services while acting as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts.

The role requires an active pharmacist license in the store's state, an active NPI, and compliance with DEA exclusion rules. Part-time scheduling and weekend requirements apply, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator; overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy.
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and guarding patient safety.
Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s duties when on duty.
Help patients with insurance and medication issues and coordinate with the healthcare team.
