Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover pharmacist shifts across the district and support pharmacy teams with scheduling, patient care, and operational excellence.

You will ensure safe dispensing, provide counseling, and participate in immunization programs while maintaining compliance with all laws and CVS policies. This part-time role emphasizes patient outcomes, teamwork, and continuous learning within a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Cover pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and direct the pharmacy team to follow safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Deliver immunizations and coach the team to provide compassionate patient care.
• Support access to care through pharmacist-provided clinical services where permissible; assist with insurance issues.
