Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across the district. You will support pharmacy teams, ensure safe dispensing, and help deliver immunizations and clinical care where permissible.

You must hold an active pharmacist license in the state and an active NPI, with willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed. 30 hours weekly, full-time schedule, benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
• Willingness to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus; ability to concentrate on a task.
• Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation.
• Strong communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning for dispensing calculations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts and support the Pharmacy Manager’s duties.
• Following workflow procedures and safeguarding patient safety at every workstation.
• Assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as primary pharmacist on duty.
• Coaching the team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance or medication issues.
• Delivering immunizations and supporting technicians to learn to immunize.
• Managing pharmacy inventory with attention to cold chain and safe practices.
• Maintaining flexibility for scheduling and business needs while upholding safety and inclusion.
