Job summary

Lake County School District Region 1 District-Wide in Leadville, CO is seeking an Out of School Time Director. The role oversees OST programming district-wide, with responsibility for staffing, budgeting, and partnerships, and acts as district administrator on duty after school hours.

Requires strong leadership and fundraising capabilities, and experience in K-12 settings. The position is a 215-day annual contract with a salary of $65,000–$70,000 per year.

Qualifications

• BA in education or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in K-12 education, intervention experience a plus.
• Strong commitment to equity in education and promotion of academic achievement.
• Experience working with students living in poverty and English language learners.
• Experience writing and managing grants and budgets preferred.
• Familiarity with Expeditionary Learning core principles.
• Administrative experience in a non-profit or educational setting preferred.
• Experience supervising programs and employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and hold the vision for all OST programming across the district, and provide senior leadership and advocacy.
• Lead coordination among the OST Admin team; oversee strategy, policies, and sustainability.
• Lead strategic OST initiatives such as parent engagement, summer programming, and partnerships.
• Align staffing, programming, resources, and funding with district goals and sustainability.
• Develop high quality tutoring systems and enrichment programs to improve academic outcomes.
• Supervise OST Admin and Support staff; conduct goal-setting and evaluations.
• Manage program expenses, procurement, attendance data, and grants reporting.
• Provide oversight of programs during OST hours and serve as district administrator on duty.
• Engage community agencies, MOUs, and family input to refine OST offerings.
• Seek funding, manage budgets, and collaborate on fundraising and development.
