Job summary

Arts for Learning Maryland is seeking a Deputy Chief of Out of School Time (OST) to provide strategic vision and executive oversight across ESY, SALA, and afterschool programs. You will partner with district leadership, manage budgets, contracts, and KPIs, and lead a diverse team to deliver high-quality youth programming.

The role emphasizes antiracist and culturally responsive leadership, collaboration with cross-team partners, and growing OST opportunities statewide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education/nonprofit management.
• Experience managing large OST/out-of-school time or youth programs.
• Proven ability to oversee budgets and contracts/MOUs.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic vision and align OST programs across teams.
• Oversee fiscal governance, budgets, and contracts.
• Develop district-level partnerships and expand funding opportunities.
• Lead evaluation and ensure program quality and compliance.
• Supervise and develop senior program staff and directors.
