Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a District Operations Manager to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operation of all branches within the district. You will oversee transportation, warehouse and tank farm activities across multiple California locations and lead a team of operations professionals.

The role requires 7+ years of operational leadership, HazMat/Hazwoper/CVI certifications, and strong supervisory skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
HazMat, Hazwoper, and CVI certifications.
7+ years of operational leadership experience.
Strong supervisory and people-management skills.
Knowledge of chemical distribution operations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Facilitates compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, including training and record-keeping.
Supports sales efforts in line with regulatory standards.
Leads district safety programs and conducts safety audits.
Ensures thorough incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Communicates district performance and trends to leadership on a regular basis.
Oversees budget and operating plans for all branches in the district.
Manages staffing, development, promotions, and terminations within the district.
Develops process improvements and coordinates with Operations and Commercial teams.
