O’Neal Steel is seeking a District Operations Specialist for our Waterloo, IA facility. You will support daily district operations including receiving, inventory control, shop floor activities, document retention, and communication with sales and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, routing inbound goods, maintaining inventory locations, and performing stock checks. 2+ years of warehouse experience and MS Office skills are preferred.

• 2+ years of warehouse operations experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against bills of lading and maintain records.
• Receive inbound shipments and route goods to proper bays.
• Maintain and update inventory locations and pick zones.
• Perform stock checks and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate with sales and purchasing teams for timely information.

O’Neal Steel has an open position for District Operations Specialist at our Waterloo , IA facility.The District Operations Specialist will support district operations with daily tasks such as the receiving process, inventory control, shop floor control activities, document retention, sales and supply chain communications, and special order activity.Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To:Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against bill of ladings and maintain records of goods receivedReject damaged or incorrect goods or materials and take proper steps to adjust for damages or shortages- File mill claims and intra-district exceptionsReceive inbound shuttles and route incoming goods to proper baysMonitor receiving reports to ensure accuracy and coordination with purchased materialAdvise appropriate sales personnel when specific items are receivedMaintain and update inventory locations and pick zonesPerform stock checks: quantities, dimensions, condition, and foreign vs. domesticInvestigate and resolve inventory issues, markdowns, or other discrepanciesVerify all loads have shipped, and morning shipment info sent to commercial teamPerform laydown auditWork the inbound truck schedule and inventory exceptionsReceive Purchase Orders (ASNs & POs)Review daily receipts by districtEnter returns to vendor \"SV\" orders, or scrap orders \"SP\"Enter safety and quality records as requiredAssist with local vendor management (mowing, Cintas, cleaning, etc.)Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Skills:2+ years of warehouse operations experienceAbility to use the Microsoft Suite of products such as Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to perform in high pace environments and work under pressureMust be able to work (7:00AM- 3:00PM) Monday-Friday.
