Job summary

Liberty County Schools (GA) is seeking an MTSS Coordinator for the 2026-27 SY to lead the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports. The role requires collaboration with administrators, psychologists, specialists, teachers, and families to design, implement, and monitor interventions aimed at improving student academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, school psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of three years successful teaching experience.
• Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Attend promptly and regularly.
• Provide training, consultation, and support to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate MTSS implementation at district and school levels.
• Develop, lead, implement, monitor, and collaborate on district-wide MTSS integration.
• Meet with and support school leaders in MTSS implementation to align with district improvement goals.
• Monitor fidelity of MTSS implementation at school level for academics and behavior supports.
• Ensure compliance with district procedures, state guidelines, and federal regulations.
• Coordinate MTSS professional development activities for school and district personnel.
• Analyze and utilize student data to drive targeted interventions.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and district personnel.
• Maintain timely written and oral communication with families and staff.
• Participate on district committees as requested.
• Develop and maintain high-quality district-specific interventions and resources aligned to outcomes.
• Assist schools in understanding screening, diagnostic and progress monitoring data for learners.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in education, school psychology, or related field

Three years of teaching experience

Georgia Teaching Certificate
