Job summary

Metro by T-Mobile is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple store locations in the Sacramento area. You will recruit, coach, and develop store managers, drive sales, oversee staffing, and uphold operational excellence across the district.

You will motivate teams, ensure a customer-first culture, and manage inventory, scheduling, and performance metrics. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in retail sales management (wireless industry preferred).
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Proven success in leading multiple retail locations and achieving sales goals.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the district, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing store managers and staff.
• Coach, evaluate performance, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Provide leadership to store managers, helping them meet and exceed sales and operational targets.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning across your district.
• Drive sales growth across all stores within your district, consistently meeting or surpassing targets.
• Promote a customer-first culture, ensuring high satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
• Support store managers in implementing effective upselling, cross-selling, and account activation strategies.
• Lead weekly meetings to set sales goals, review performance, and motivate teams.
• Oversee inventory management, cash handling, and POS accuracy.
• Monitor store performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular store visits to evaluate cleanliness, operational efficiency, and staff performance.
