SmartStop Self Storage is seeking a District Manager to oversee a portfolio of self-storage properties, ensuring top-tier performance and strong owner relations. You will guide operations, monitor financial results, and support management teams to align with ownership goals.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, budgeting, staff leadership, and proactive communication with owners and corporate partners. A strong background in customer service and sales is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation abilities.
• Ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and establish orderly processes.
• Supervisory and leadership skills with team-building experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between property owners, onsite management, and corporate partners.
• Oversee third-party managed self-storage facilities to ensure alignment with ownership objectives.
• Review occupancy, revenue, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with owners and third-party operators on budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with hiring and scheduling site staff and training.
• Coordinate owner reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
• Onboard new properties with corporate onboarding team.
• Review invoices and contracts for owner authorizations and standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to support performance.
• Escalate issues and report to ownership and senior leadership.
