Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage is seeking a District Manager for Third-Party Property Management to oversee a portfolio of self-storage properties on behalf of owners. You will liaise between owners, onsite teams, and corporate partners to monitor performance, guide operations, and align with ownership objectives.

The role requires strong verbal and written communication, proven leadership, and experience managing budgets, forecasts, and staffing. A competitive salary plus discretionary bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent sales and customer service skills, with proven negotiation skills
• Excellent supervisory and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of self-storage properties for owners.
• Maintain strong relationships with property owners and coordinate with onsite teams.
• Review occupancy, revenue and expenses; monitor financial performance.
• Collaborate with owners and third‑party operators on budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in hiring and training site staff; ensure timely reporting and owner communication.
