Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or similar
• 3-5 years of retail business experience or more preferred; including minimum of 2 years of management responsibility
• Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred
• Demonstrated leadership ability, good communication skills, be self-directed, self-motivated and customer service oriented
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written)
• Ability to supervise and train Store Managers in use of store equipment, tools and materials
• A current valid driver's license is required to operate a company vehicle

Responsibilities

• Recaps promotional activity and reports business opportunities, results, trends and competitive information to store management
• Manages controllable costs by educating managers on procedures for controlling merchandise variation, salaries, overtime, cash, repair and maintenance costs
• Collaborates with Marketing to ensure promotions and new product introductions are fully implemented
• Provides feedback to category managers regarding stock issues
• Leads recruiting, selection and orientation processes and assists with employee development and training programs
• Forecasts requirements, prepares an annual budget, schedules expenditures and analyzes variances to initiate corrective actions
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and government regulations; enforces safety practices and protects assets
