American Forest Management, Inc. is seeking a District Manager for the Virginia District overseeing ~95,000 acres and a five-person team. The role emphasizes proactive business development, client relations, and leadership in budgeting, timber sales, road maintenance, and compliance.

Qualifications include a BS in Forestry (Master’s preferred), 10+ years in forest operations, and strong GIS/GPS/software skills. Real estate licensure requirements may apply. Office and field work are involved.

Qualifications

• BS in Forestry; Master’s in Forestry, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare budgets, annual operating plans, forecasts, and reports for TIMO and NIPF clients.
• Manage and enhance key client relationships through regular client contact and communication.
• Drive district growth through proactive business development by identifying, cultivating, and securing new client relationships while expanding market share and increasing revenue opportunities across forestry and real estate services.
• Provide leadership to a 5-person team to motivate and create alignment for a high performing operations group.
• Oversee management of AFM employees and contractors in the implementation of forest operations and coordinate with the real estate services team.
• Manage contract negotiation for management operations, timber and land sales to assure compliance with government regulations and client objectives.
