Job summary

Rayonier Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking a District Manager for the Columbus District in Georgia. This high-impact leadership role oversees timberland management across approx. 275,000 acres, directing silviculture, harvest, and transportation to maximize value while upholding safety programs and environmental standards.

You will manage budgets, lead a forester team, and coordinate with real estate and agencies to optimize wood product value. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry is required; Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Ten (10) years of forestry experience with at least five (5) years in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse staff of foresters to achieve district objectives.
• Own profit/loss for the district and manage budgets and costs.
• Lead harvest planning and timber harvest programs for timely delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with real estate staff to assess land base and opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with local communities and agencies while ensuring safety and BMP compliance.
