Job summary

Lincare seeks a district operations leader responsible for the overall performance of multiple centers, with extensive travel and independent work. You will oversee center managers, develop regional business plans, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires strong financial acumen, sales background, and the ability to interact with regulatory agencies. A BS degree and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Requires more than a casual knowledge of accounting and finance.
  • Sales background essential, with respiratory experience a plus.
  • Human relations skills critical because the position requires dealing extensively with regulatory personnel, referral sources, and corporate personnel.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with Lincare or industry similar to Lincare.
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (FDA, DOT, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Has P&L responsibility for several centers and typically operational responsibility for one center.
  • Interviews, hiring, training, and supervision of quality center managers.
  • Develops and submits to a regional vice president a business plan that includes sales forecasts, expense budgets, capital budgets, salary budget, and manpower projections.
  • Responsible for asset management, inventories, fixed investment, and rolling stock.
  • Provides a safe working environment for all employees in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ensures area of responsibility complies with federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, FDA, EEO, OSHA, etc.).
  • Maintains knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement understanding, including government and private payer.
  • Maintains knowledge of the respiratory market and provides updated information to regional vice resident regarding activities of competition and availability of potential acquisitions within their business area.
  • Administers an approved salary budget in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensures locations maintain necessary policies, procedures, and records to be in compliance with accreditation requirements.
