Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a district operations leader responsible for the P&L of multiple centers and oversight of one core center. The role requires extensive travel and independent work with minimal direction to achieve results.

The position includes developing business plans with sales forecasts, budgets, and staffing projections, while ensuring regulatory compliance across DOT, FDA, EEO, OSHA, and Medicare frameworks. Strong leadership and accounting insight are essential.

Responsibilities

• Has P&L responsibility for several centers and typically operational responsibility for one center.
• Develops and submits to a regional vice president a business plan including sales forecasts, budgets, and manpower projections.
• Responsible for asset management, inventories, fixed investment, and rolling stock.
• Provides a safe working environment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, FDA, EEO, OSHA)
• Maintains Medicare regulations and reimbursement understanding for government and private payers
• Keeps knowledge of the respiratory market and informs regional VP about competition and potential acquisitions
• Administers an approved salary budget in a timely and effective manner
• Ensures locations maintain policies, procedures, and records for accreditation compliance
• Requires more than casual knowledge of accounting and finance
• Sales background essential, with respiratory experience a plus
• Human relations skills are critical due to dealings with regulatory personnel and partners

Job Responsibilities

• Has P&L responsibility for several centers and typically operational responsibility for one center
  • This responsibility includes the interviewing, hiring, training, and supervision of quality center managers
• Develops and submits to a regional vice president a business plan that includes sales forecasts, expense budgets, capital budgets, general business plans, salary budget, and manpower projections
• Responsible for asset management, inventories, fixed investment, and rolling stock
• Provides a safe working environment for all employees in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Ensures that area of responsibility is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations dealing with DOT, FDA, EEO, OSHA, and other agencies
• Maintains a working knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement understanding, including government and private payer
• Maintains knowledge of the respiratory market and provides updated information to regional vice president regarding activities of competition and availability of potential acquisitions within their business area
• Administers an approved salary budget in a timely and effective manner
• Ensures that locations maintain necessary policies, procedures, and records to be in compliance with accreditation requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum of five years of experience with Lincare or industry similar to Lincare
• BS Degree or equivalent
• Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (FDA, DOT, etc.)
