Job summary

Final Mile in Dallas is seeking an experienced operations manager to plan workforce, manage KPI reporting, and oversee start-ups for new locations. You will ensure compliance, train staff, and travel as needed to meet performance and P&L goals.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and a college degree is preferred. Minimum 3 years of management experience in a related field and knowledge of home delivery logistics are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with a 3PL company in a home delivery environment is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel as necessary.
• Knowledge of company policies and customer matters; home appliance knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan with local management to ensure appropriate workforce levels at each location (delivery, warehouse, and office).
• Ensure compliance with policy, SOPs, and internal processes.
• Achieve financial goals and maintain KPI targets.
• Guide locations to achieve their goals and understand their KPIs.
• Maintain and display KPI reports at all locations.
• Develop relationships with local management and client personnel.
• Assist as needed on new location start-ups.
• Train staff to perform daily tasks and procedures.
• Audit KPIs and monitor performance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Ensure inventory responsibilities are done timely and accurately.
• Cover management vacations as necessary.
• Assist with facility management and expenses; travel as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

• Plan with local management to have appropriate workforce levels at each location, including delivery teams, warehouse, and office
• Compliance – ensure compliance with policy and procedures, customer SOP’s and internal processes
• Goals – Achieve financial goals, maintain Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to meet or exceed goals
• Work with assigned locations to ensure they are aware and understand their goals and help guide them to achieve each goal
• Customer Reporting – Make sure all locations maintain and display KPI reports
• Customer Relations – Develop relationships with local management, Client field personnel, and key Customer individuals
• Start-up Responsibilities – Assist as needed and assigned on a “New Location” start-up
• Ensure staff is properly trained to perform daily assigned tasks, processes and procedures
• Audit KPI’s and monitor performance as needed
• Make sure all locations maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Ensure all inventory responsibilities are done timely and accurately as required
• Cover Management vacations at each location as necessary
• Facility Management – assist with local management as needed with managing maintenance and other expenses
• Travel as required to ensure location meets performance standards and P&L numbers
• Other duties as assigned

Salary: Up to $91,900/year + Bonus Potential
