SHOE SHOW, INC., the country's largest privately held footwear retailer in business for 66 years with nearly 1,000 stores in 47 states, is seeking an experienced District Manager to join our team. This position is a regional position located around Chattanooga, TN.
Our District Managers are energetic, innovative, and are avid retail enthusiasts! You will be responsible for the management and leadership 12 stores- 6 in TN, 4 in AL, and 2 in GA. All store managers report directly to the DM. You must possess at least 3-5 years of previous/current experience as a District Manager in the Retail industry to be considered.
The DM is responsible for all aspects of the business for their assigned locations. They will travel to stores in a Company-provided vehicle. They are responsible for assessing the store manager's performance and assisting the store manager in assessing their staff. District Managers are focused on achieving sales goals, enforcing company policies, Loss Prevention, training, corrective action if applicable, executing general merchandising policies, and other aspects of the Company's business. They must communicate effectively with employees, applicants, customers, and various Home Office personnel. The DM will be skilled in reviewing various reports and determining business actions and needs in response.
