Job summary

Ferrellgas in Michigan seeks a District Manager to lead operations across Clare or Cadillac. This field-based role requires hands-on leadership, P&L ownership, and the ability to coach and develop a team while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient district performance.

You will travel between locations, engage with customers, manage budgets, monitor safety, and drive sales growth. Strong knowledge of distribution, dispatching, and hazmat regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required or preferred.
• DOT or propane gas experience is preferred.
• CDL with hazmat endorsement is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, team-building skills, and customer-relations ability.

Responsibilities

• Act as district owner with P&L, budget, safety, sales growth and personnel development responsibilities.
• Engage with field operations to ensure smooth daily activities and customer satisfaction.
• Select, train and coach district employees to foster teamwork and high performance.
• Ensure operations comply with safety standards, DOT regulations and laws; monitor safety metrics.
• Drive customer service culture, retention, and strong relationships across the district.
• Lead sales growth, identify new business opportunities and monitor market trends.
• Set location performance goals, review results, and provide coaching and development.
• Travel between district locations to provide leadership support and ensure success.
