FerrellGas is seeking a District Manager for the Monticello, NY area and surrounding locations. This leadership role focuses on owning the district’s P&L, guiding field operations, and developing talent across locations.

Travel between district sites is required to ensure performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes building strong customer relationships, expanding market share, and coaching a team to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• DOT or propane gas experience.
• CDL with hazmat endorsement.
• Solid understanding of distribution and dispatching.
• Solid understanding of expense management concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on team building and customer relations.
• Must be a citizen or national of the United States or have authorization to work in the United States.
• Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Responsibilities

• Act as the district leader with full accountability for P&L, budget, safety, sales growth, and staff development.
• Engage with field operations to ensure smooth daily operations and strong customer relationships.
• Select, train, and coach district employees to foster teamwork and high performance.
• Ensure safety standards, DOT compliance, and regulatory adherence across locations.
• Drive customer retention and expand market share through service excellence.
• Lead sales growth and monitor market trends to seize opportunities.
• Set performance goals for locations and provide feedback and development support.
• Travel between district locations to support operations and leadership.
