Job summary

PCL Buildings Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a District HRPD Advisor to lead HR programs, policy and compliance for client groups and to develop recruitment plans that align with district goals.

You will coach supervisors, analyze compensation data, and nurture relationships with academic institutions and stakeholders to deliver strategic HR initiatives across districts.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive human resources experience preferred.
  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Working towards an HR designation preferred.
  • Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, with negotiation and influence skills.
  • Able to mentor and coach entry-level HR professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and advises on HRPD programs, policy, practices, and compliance for assigned client groups.
  • Develops and executes a recruitment plan with appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Participates in district HRPD planning process and leads district-level projects initiatives as assigned.
  • Provides guidance, coaches, and trains on all aspects of career management.
  • Guides supervisors on employee relations issues, compensation, recruitment, and performance improvement activities.
  • Assists with local market research and analysis for annual compensation review and calibration of salary/bonus review for client groups.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders within the district.
  • Oversees the student program strategy and maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions.

  • Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Able to mentor and coach entry-level human resources professionals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
  • Demonstrated critical-thinking skills.
