Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a District Manager in Human Resources to lead HR strategy across multiple districts, guiding workforce planning, talent acquisition, and compliance. You will partner with district leadership to drive engagement and retention while shaping leadership development across the organization.

This role requires strong coaching abilities, data-driven decision-making, and experience in retail or multi-unit environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
• Advanced knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
• Experience in retail or multi-unit environments strongly preferred.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to coach leaders and influence organizational outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze data trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• A team-first attitude; while your core duties are your priority, you're happy to step in wherever you're needed.
