Job summary

The Virginia Department of Health seeks a District Sr. HR Analyst to support HR initiatives for the Eastern Shore Health District. You will help drive workforce strategy, employee engagement, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities include recruitment, compensation and classification, benefits administration, personnel transactions, new employee orientation, policy interpretation, and performance support. The role emphasizes confidentiality and collaboration with regional HR partners.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HR programs, regulations and guidelines.
• Recruitment and selection techniques and strategies, and classification and compensation practices.
• Knowledge of benefits and processing of personnel transactions.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Ability to prepare, process, track and file a large volume of employment and position transactions.
• Strong computer, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
