Job summary

WM is seeking a District Fleet Manager to lead the full lifecycle of fleet operations at Kettleman and McKittrick Landfills. You will drive safety, reliability, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement, coaching managers and cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

The role supports Kettleman City and McKittrick operations and offers relocation assistance. Strong leadership and data-driven decision making are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) required or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years of previous experience in a related role.
• Valid Driver's License upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and reliable vehicle availability to meet operational requirements.
• Manage maintenance managers to drive performance and cost focus.
• Review capital equipment requisitions per corporate guidelines.
• Oversee vehicle management systems and maintenance shops.
• Coach and develop staff; ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.
• Support budget processes and drive positive, team-oriented culture.
