Job summary

WM's District Manager for Kettleman Hills hazardous waste facility and McKittrick Landfill leads two California sites, steering safety, compliance, and P&L performance with a team of managers. This high-visibility role drives continuous improvement, asset utilization, and exceptional service to customers and regulators in a safety-first culture.

The position requires a track record in large-scale operations, budget leadership, and team development, with strong collaboration across local agencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required
• High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience
• 5 years in a supervisory role with P&L responsibility
• Preferred certifications in environmental compliance (HAZWOPER, RCRA, CAA, CWA) are a plus

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the district, ensuring quality and budget performance.
• Monitors budget and operating metrics, diagnosing and improving processes.
• Executes capital budgeting and asset utilization plans.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance with standards and regulations.
• Oversees personnel needs including coaching, disciplining, and training.
