Job summary

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is seeking a Supervisor for Finance to oversee the district’s financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with federal and state regulations. The role reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations and requires strong Excel and AS400 experience.

The position manages audits, grants, cash flow, investments, and board reporting, ensuring accurate financial statements and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Bachelor’s Degree with 3–5 years of school district accounting experience preferred.
  • MSBO CFO or Business Manager Certification preferred.
  • Advanced technology skills in Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, vlookup, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Accounts for all financial transactions of the district through supervision of staff and month end processes.
  • Coordinates the completion of the annual audit including the A-133 Federal Audit and liaises with auditors.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports for review by the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations.
  • Manages daily cash flow processes including wires and transfers and supports State Aid borrowing analysis.
  • Supervises and manages district investments and budget preparation in coordination with the Assistant Superintendent.
