Job summary

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools seeks a Supervisor for Finance to lead district financial operations from Wheeler Administration. You will oversee accounting staff, month-end closing, cash flow, and budgeting processes.

The role requires strong Excel, AS400, audit coordination, grant management, and compliance with state/federal regulations; you will coordinate annual audits, prepare reports, and support contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Bachelor’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of school district accounting experience preferred.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 or more years of progressively responsible work experience in a financial management position will be considered.
• MSBO CFO or Business Manager Certification preferred.
• Advanced technology skills in Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, vlookup, etc).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial transactions of the district through supervision of staff and month end processes.
• Financial management and oversight of all federal, state and local grants for the district ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate the annual audit including the A-133 Federal Audit and liaise with auditors.
• Prepare state and local reports such as SE-4096, SE-4094, FID, Final Expenditure reports.
• Manage cash flow processes, wires and transfers; prepare monthly financial reports.
• Supervise district investments and budgeting processes with AS400 tools.
